Masterson’s Tavern , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my recent visit at this establishment resulted in an experience I’d rather forget . While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I discovered behind its doors was disturbing and far below any standard .

From the moment I walked in , it was clear that sanitation was not a priority at this venue. The surfaces were tacky , and a overpowering stench of decaying beverages and dirty bathrooms suffused the entire bar . With a smell of a mixture of excrement , putrefaction and sickness .
